Not the best post for a workout blog

Tomorrow, Tuesday 23rd, 2010 is National Pancake Day. IHop is celebrating by offering a free stack of buttermilk pancakes from 7-10 A.M.

If there is a catch, which one should always be concerned about when it comes to free pancakes, it would be that your pancakes come with a hearty side order of guilt. They will ask you to consider a donation to local children’s hospitals. Over the past four years, the National Pancake Day drive has netted over $1.3 Million, with the goal of hitting five million dollars in donations by the end of this year.

Yeah, you could go and get a free breakfast, but if you were going to go anyway you might as well spend what you were planning on for the hospitals. It’s a good cause, and why not take your coworkers or make an early-morning date out of it?

You can check out all the details and find a location here: http://www.ihoppancakeday.com/index.html

It may seem paradoxical to have a post about free pancakes on a workout blog, but we thought we’d look into some healthy items on the menu. The official site offers a separate page on healthier items, which you can view here. We recommend the veggie omelet, chicken sandwich or two-egg breakfast.
